Despite strong commitment to the EU\u2019s climate goals, the sector faces key barriers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Low uptake of zero-emission vehicles across most markets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insufficient charging and refuelling infrastructure for heavy-duty vehicles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Higher total cost of ownership for zero-emission trucks and buses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To address this, the signatories urge Member States to swiftly conclude negotiations and:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>prioritise a meaningful revision of weight and axle weight limits to reflect the specific characteristics of zero-emission vehicles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>adopt additional measures that further improve efficiency and support the decarbonisation of road transport.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>This revision is a crucial step towards a more sustainable, efficient, and competitive European road transport sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The
